Lifestyle Design to Fit Your Practice–
How to Prioritize Well-Being and Thrive In the Legal Profession
Join us Monday, October 16, 2017, in Charleston, South Carolina for a program on maximizing well-being in the legal work place. In addition to presentations on attorney wellness, the program will feature the first, ever, South Carolina Attorney Unconference, led by Lawyer/Author/Mindfulness Coach, Jeena Cho.
Jeena is the best selling author of The Anxious Lawyer, An 8-Week Guide to a Joyful and Satisfying Law Practice Through Mindfulness and Meditation. She is a regular contributor to Forbes, Bloomberg and Above the Law where she covers resilience, work/life integration, and wellness in the workplace. Jeena also presents regularly to law firms, bar associations and women’s groups across the country on issues such as wellness, productivity, mindfulness and diversity.
An Unconference is perfect for those who get more from the organic, impromptu conversations that occur in the hallway outside the formal presentations. Rather than following a conventionally structured program of events, an Unconference is a loosely structured program emphasizing the informal exchange of information and ideas. In an Unconference, there are no designated speakers or lectures. It is a transformative event that brings the best parts of a traditional conference forward–connection, relationships and sharing ideas.
In addition to the Unconference, the program will also feature presentations by Stuart Mauney and Jack Pringle–two of South Carolina’s most entertaining and inspiring speakers on attorney well-being. Jack’s presentation, Get Comfortable with Discomfort: Tools for Thriving in a Changing World, and Stuart’s presentation, Wired and Tired–An Invitation to Well-Being, will both focus on specific strategies for prioritizing well being in a law practice. Those attending the presentations will receive 2 hours of Legal Ethics and Mental Health/Wellness Continuing Legal Education Credits (there are no CLE credits for the Unconference portion of the event).
Make your reservations soon. Early Bird registration has been extended, and for those who register before October 1st, the registration fee is $175. After October 1st registration is $210.
